Feeling Peckish?

I am! My attempt to stick to the weight watchers diet didn't exactly fail, but even so, I still didn't loose any weight. Anyway now I am feeling extremely hungry, desperate to taste some delicious food that I deprived myself from eating whilst trying to stick to my points. I feel like eating chuncky chocolate donuts, pastries, cup cakes and even fruit cake (which I don't normally like!). As you can tell the situation is getting desperate. Do I give in altogether and fail yet another attempt to loose some weight? Or do I hang on in there hoping that this week I will have lost a couple of miserable pounds? Not sure what to do! I just really need a doughnut...

Anyway to update on my knitting - I have finished the head. Last night I ploughed away at it and finally came to the end. Have to buy some stuffing at some point to stuff it, but won't have the time today or this weekend as I am helping Esther (sister-in-law-to-be) to find a wedding dress. My brother is marrying her on the 6 December this year and I can't wait.

So next I will knit the legs and will update you on that very soon...

Oh the weather outside is frightfull...

Yes! I am really in the christmassy mood today. Did lots of knitting last night and although it was hard to get into at first I soon got the hang of it again. Made the teddy's body and started on his head! Can't wait to see what it looks like in the end! Paul (my fiance) was very impressed with my knitting skills!!

So all in all the embarkment on my knitting project has been very successful!

4.10 pm

God, I'm sooooo tired. Can't stop yawning. My book (yes I'm writing a book) is coming along nicely lately though. Takes a lot of thinking though and sometimes I just don't feel as if I've got the energy to do it, but I plod on through it making a story in my mind that I never knew existed. I am up to 64,000 words now and I can't quite believe it. How did little old me write that many words?? Sometimes I worry though, that it's not leading anywhere, that I'll never be able to tie up all the loose ends before the book explodes with waffle. But I've got to keep going. I've come so far.

To Knit or Not to Knit

Hi, this is my first blog. Interesting huh?

Just went out and bought some knitting needles and wool. I am going to make some knitted bears. Yes this might sound weird but I just all of a sudden feel the need to be a knitting kind of person. It's really not my fault though, I think it's because everyone around me right now seems to be having babies and I just really want to make all these cute little knitted things.

I used to knit all the time when I was a kid. Loved it. My nan taught me, she taught me how to pearl one, knit one and I even made some fabulous dolls. Don't know why I ever gave it up really. Well tonight I will be starting again for sure. I have the soft wool in my bag and some brand new 4mm & 3mm knitting needles too!

Very excited now.

My brother is getting married in December to his fiance Esther and they are expecting a baby in May 2004, hence the excitement I am in at the moment. I can see knitted booties and knitted hats and knitted cardi's springing up all over the place. Or at least I hope they will be. At least before the baby is too big to wear them!

I also bought some red and green felt today in order to make some christmas stockings. They are going to be colourful and cheerful and will be filled with candy and chocolate and gifts!

Can't wait for Christmas this year. I may even knit a stocking too. I will update you on how my knitting progress is going tomorrow. I only hope I can remember how it's done.

Have to go now as I have other stuff to be doing.

Over and out.
